DMEM: HAM’S F-12 (1:1) with L-Glutamine

Description DMEM/HAM’s F-12 is a formulation that combines DMEM with HAM’s F-12 nutrient mixture in a 1:1 ratio.  DMEM (Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium) is a widely used basal medium for supporting the growth of many different mammalian cells. Cells successfully cultured in DMEM include primary fibroblasts, neurons, glial cells, HUVECs, and smooth muscle cells. We offer a variety of  DMEM modifications for a range of cell culture applications. With: High Glucose Without: HEPES Applications DMEM is one of the most widely used modifications of  Basal Medium Eagle (BME). DMEM was originally developed as a richer version of BME; with 4 times higher concentrations of amino acids, vitamins and some additional components than BME. DMEM is commonly used for the culture of normal and transformed cells. Recommendation Because DMEM: HAM’S F-12 has no lipids proteins and growth factors, it may require 10% FBS supplementation.
